Luego de varios asentamientos temporarios, la Misión Jesuítica - Guaraní se estableció definitivamente en 1632.
Fue edificada siguiendo los planos con los que la Compañía de Jesús construía en otras partes del mundo. Su población estuvo planificada para un máximo de 6000 habitantes aunque nunca llegó a tener más de 3300. Fue diseñada por Jesuitas y construida por manos Guaraniés, hace casi 400 años.
Fueron declaradas Patrimonio de la Humanidad por la UNESCO en 1994. San Ignacio Miní posee las Ruinas mejores conservadas de Las Misiones (Argentina-Paraguay y Brasil)
El ticket de ingreso a San Ignacio Miní, incluye un paseo guiado a la luz de la luna y la entrada a las Ruinas de Loreto y Santa Ana, que quedan a 10 y 20 km de San Ignacio respectivamente.
The Jesuit Mission of San Ignacio Mini was established definitely in 1632, after many temporary settlements.
It was built following the original plans that the Jesus Company, had designed to construct the Jesuit missions all over the world.
There lived around 3300 people, although, this mission had a capacity to house until 6000 people.
Designed by Jesuit Priests, but built by Guarani hands almost 400 years ago, were declared CULTURAL WORLD HERITAGE in 1994.
San Ignacio Mini is the best conserved ruins in the area of Argentina, Brazil and Paraguay.
The admission ticket includes a visit guided, moon walking, and the admission to SANTA ANA and LORETO ruins, distant to 10 and 20 Km from San Ignacio.
